It is a specialized model built into MDASH, Microsoft&#8217;s multi-agent harness for vulnerability identification and remediation, which deploys more than 100 agents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">According to Microsoft, MAI-Cyber-1-Flash was designed to efficiently handle up to 90% of the workload in this MDASH configuration, with the most complex work going to OpenAI&#8217;s GPT-5.4. The company says this unified system scored 96% on CyberGym, a benchmark that tests whether an AI system can reproduce known real-world vulnerabilities in codebases \u2014 12 points above Anthropic&#8217;s Mythos \u2014 at roughly 50% lower cost than its previous best MDASH configuration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><br><strong>Perception Sends AI Agent Teams Into Security Operations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Perception, the second announcement, deploys teams of AI agents to automate security workflows. According to TechCrunch, red teams simulate potential attacks, blue teams detect and triage existing bugs, and green teams take corrective actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Dave Weston, the platform&#8217;s lead engineer, said work that once took hours across specialized staff can now yield a fix within minutes. Competition in cybersecurity AI is shifting from standalone models to systems that orchestrate multiple models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Both the CyberGym score and the cost figure are Microsoft&#8217;s own measurements. The company says the model went through AI Red Team review, adversarial testing, and a third-party assessment, but those results have not been independently reproduced.
